FAQs

Some FAQ’s

Energy deregulation means that consumers can choose their energy supplier from among several options which potentially leads to lower prices due to market competition. Energy deregulation allows you to shop for your energy supply plans just like your cable and internet services.

It usually takes 2 billing cycles to switch the supplier and get the new supply rate on your bill i.e. you sign a contract in January with a start date of successive month (February), then you’ll receive the first bill on new rate in March (upon completion of a complete meter reading cycle of February).

There is no enrollment or registration fee but termination fees can occur if it is stated in your contract and it usually varies from supplier to supplier. The suppliers usually charge termination fee to cover the damages as they have to find a new customer to reassign the volume of electricity that you were supposed to use over the remaining term of contract.

Of course, we share the multiple rate plans in a proposal file out of which you can choose a rate plan with duration and supplier of your own choice.

There is no front end changing like meter or wires replacement at your service address as the switching of supply services occurs at backend between utility company and supplier.

Yes, but it depends upon various factors i.e. partial/complete gas deregulation in your state, minimum gas usage volume requirement set by the suppliers to bid.

We’ll contact you 2-3 months before the completion of your contract to propose the rate plans for potential contract renewal and we can further extend the deal.

You will continue to receive the bills from your utility company only the supplier name and supply rate will be updated on the bill unless you choose a dual billing rate plan (in which supplier sends separate invoice for supply services, monthly). Texas customers receive their energy bills from supplier instead of utility company so they will receive the bills from the supplier they have signed for.
